First Generation (ΠΡΩΤΗ ΓΕΝΙΑ)
has entertained audiences with their energetic performances since 1990 to 2013. They established themselves as one the most versatile and entertaining live orchestras in Toronto’s Greek Community and their two Party Mix Dance compilations are a bona fide staple at thousands of Greek functions a decade after their release with a continued following on iTunes.
Their reputation for providing authentic Greek music from all parts of Greece and their seamless transitions between diverse musical styles garnered them praise all over North America and they have performed for tens of thousands.
Anastasia Arnokouros
One of the key elements attributed to First Generation’s long lasting success. Anastasia has been entertaining audiences with her smooth, powerful voice from the age of sixteen. Graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education from the University of Toronto, Anastasia is also an accomplished classical pianist. Anastasia has also worked as the choirmaster for various churches, conducting and arranging four-part mixed choirs for the challenging repertoire of Greek Orthodox church services. Anastasia is currently a teacher for the York Region District School Board.
Konstantine Arnokouros
Konstantine Arnokouros grew up in the heart of Toronto’s Greektown and has been performing professionally since 1984.
After completing his private studies at the Odeon School of Music, he continued his musical education at York University.
His love for music inspired the release of two Mediterranean CDs, as well as songwriting credits on a Canadian Gold-certified album.
Konstantine continues to record, engineer, and produce music for independent musical artists.
